Radical Life, Inc. exists to strengthen families and prevent foster care placements in and around Lyon County by addressing the root causes of poverty and creating pathways for community members, businesses, churches, civic groups, and individuals, to serve and support at-risk families with faith, love, and integrity.
Monday Night Dinners
Each Monday at 5:30 PM, families, staff, and volunteers gather for a shared meal.
At 6:15 PM, adults attend classes designed for personal growth, while kids enjoy fun, enriching activities in a tech-free, nurturing space. We wrap up by 7:45 with tools and encouragement for the week ahead.
Three Phases of Transformation

Phase One: Starting Strong
Leaders (what we call our families at Radical Life) who are facing challenges like poverty, custody issues, or toxic stress begin their journey here. Over 25 weeks, they work through Getting Ahead in a Just-Getting-By World, creating personalized goals with the help of trained facilitators and coaches.

Graduation Celebration
At the end of Phase One, Leaders receive a $200 completion gift and are honored in a celebration that showcases their growth and resilience.

Phase Two: Building Momentum
In the next 25 weeks, Leaders put their plans into action. Each week, they attend classes based on their chosen focus areas such as job skills, mental health, parenting, and financial stability. These topics are taught by local experts who care.

Phase Three: Walking Together
Phase Three begins with Match Night, where Leaders are paired with volunteer Learning Friends. These mentors offer monthly support, compassionate accountability, and community connection as families continue pursuing their goals. The relationships formed here often last well beyond the program.

Cohorts 1–7: 14 families are currently active in Phases Two and Three, continuing their journey toward lasting change.
